Quantum Vibe: Venus 23 On Sales Now!
Exciting news boys and girls, the 310 strips of Quantum Vibe: Venus 23 have been collected into a fourth Quantum Vibe volume from Big Head Press and is on sale now from various online retailers.
Venus 23 is the story of life on a small backwater planet, 500 years after the invention of the Murphy Drive. "Zytemonde" is a well managed, orderly, and predictable world where all needs are provided for by powerful android rulers. But life is hardly paradise when managing resources also includes controlling every aspect of everyone's life. And despite best efforts by their android rulers, a slow decay of civil society is beginning to show; with growing black markets, supply shortages, and power outages becoming more common.
Yet, while the rot slowly breaks their world down, an unexpected question begins to be seen, asked on posters littered about the city and spray painted on walls: "Hu Iz Alyss Roaz?" Learn the answer to this question along with young Bolivar Eustace Clark ("Bok") and his friends, as they struggle to survive on a world designed to end all struggle.

The Transcript For This Page
Wide shot of some of the teens rigging their hammocks. In the foreground, silhouetted, we see an arm extending from the side of each panel, clasping hands. The arms belong to Ernie and Lili.
Caption: Bunking the kids in the common area was Lili's idea.
Caption: She told Ernie she knew about boys and girls.
Smallish panel, close 2-shot of Ernie and Lili, looking sideways at each other with knowing smiles. (Ernie can be standing behind Lili and a bit to one side, to get them close in the frame.)
Caption: Lili and Ernie, however, snuggled up in the Captain's cabin.
Wide shot of the captain's cabin. Lily is laying supine on the bed, propped up on her elbows, looking coquettish. Ernie is pulling off his clothes as fast as he can.
Caption: Rank hath its privileges.
Caption: Lili took the opportunity, once again, to demonstrate to Ernie her knowledge about boys and girls.
Caption: It happened every time they got together.
Caption: Different life choices didn't allow Ernie and Lili to live together, but the attraction was always there – always like the first time.
