Get Your EFT v3.1!
So if you’re a pair of outlaw senior citizens in the 22nd Century, and after years of loneliness you fall in love all over again, what do you do? You could go on an interplanetary honeymoon to Mars, get yourselves rejuvenated on the side, and try not to get arrested -- or killed.
Meanwhile, your kids back on Ceres are leading a Space Scouts expedition to a strange new planetoid, where a troubled youth from Terra learns a valuable lesson.
The thrilling adventures of life in the belt continue in volume 3.1 of ESCAPE FROM TERRA!

EFT v2.4 Now @ DriveThru!
They say history repeats itself. Though 200 years separate them, similar events can unfold in similar ways. And that’s what happens to the Cerereans as they once again must face a military challenge from Terra’s United World government.
Will it finally come to interplanetary war? Or maybe there are other options, drawn from Terra’s own bloody history which might avoid the horror of war. And if there is, what resistance might there be from those who crave the battlefield?
These questions are answered and more in 40 pages of “The Christmas War”.

The Transcript For This Page
Establishing shot of the Poker Room at Callahan's. Guy is sitting between Babbette and Reggie at one end of the table. Also present are Bert and Ernie, Cathy and Neil, Vinney, Rosemarie and Davey (from page 30). Adult beverages are being consumed, and Mary is picking up empty glasses. Guy is speaking, and smiling at his own joke.
Guy: Guys, I guess I understand why you did what you did, and I cannot fault you.
Guy (2): At least you didn't pitch me out the airlock.
Looking over Guy's shoulder in Neil's direction. People on either side of Neil are looking sideways at him, as he looks at the ceiling and 'whistles' silently. Guy is realizing his 'joke' may be more real than he'd expected.
Guy: – er – In any case ...
Close in on Guy, with Babbette on his left and Reggie on his right, speaking to Reggie. Reggie is looking at his drink.
Guy: Why did you have to humiliate me with that cruel 'World Ceres Pennant' gag?
Guy (2): My UWRS colleagues teased me unmercifully.
Angle this shot so that we're seeing Reggie from the side and looking past him at Guy, Babbette, and the Guzmán brothers. B and the bros are looking guilty. Reggie is speaking quietly. Guy has his usual annoyed look.
Reggie: What did it make you feel like doing, Guy?
Medium close-up of Guy, nearly shouting at Reggie.
Guy: It made me feel like crawling under a rock!
Medium close-up of Reggie, smiling back at Guy gently:
Reggie: Welcome to the rock, Guy.
Pull back to show as many as you can seated around the table, focus on Guy, Reggie has a hand on his shoulder. People are lifting their glasses as if preparing to make a toast. Guy has a look of one who is breaking free of a dark spell.
Reggie: I wanted you to have every reason to escape from Terra.
Reggie (2): I can see your heart, Guy, and you belong with us.
