Kickstarter Success!
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
All of this should show up in June.
The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
Establishing shot of the Rose seastead, exterior view. See notes that Sandy wrote about seasteads. The view should be something like a crane shot – an elevated view but not from directly overhead.
Julia Rose (from inside the house): Alfred, did Bobby go to pick up Emily from work yet?
Panel 2
Interior shot. A futuristic but recognizable kitchen, with sleek surfaces. A couple of pots steam gently on the stove. Julia Rose – think of Michael Lerned from the Waltons – is cutting up some vegetables on the counter near the stove. Alfred Rose is also in the kitchen, looking for something in the refrigerator. Put Alfred to the left of Julia.
Alfred: Bobby's studying for his journeyman exam. I'll go get Emily.
Panel 3
Suddenly Billy Rose is right next to Alfred, pleading his case. Alfred is looking like the cat caught with feathers in its mouth. Julia is looking at Alfred with some bemusement.
Billy: I can go get Emily! You said I could drive the sled to Ceres City!
Julia: You did?
Alfred: I did.
Panel 4
In the foreground right, a delighted Bill Rose bounds out of the kitchen. Behind him are stern Alfred and concerned Julia.
Alfred: Very well, Billy. Take the sled, and you go straight to town and straight back with Emily, understand?
Billy: You betcha!
