What Comes Next

The War is Over. We Won.

The war is over, but This Means War has a ways to go. Novo Paolo/Bubbleopolis is still in a nebula/stellar nursery, no one knows what happened to the planet Sharen (center of the Intergalactic Council), and the status of the now-surrendered Invaders is yet to be resolved. What will they do when they learn their homeworld is basically destroyed? Will Alyss and Li be re-united? How about Diana (the real one) and Otto?

These questions will be resolved in the next few weeks, before This Means War part 3 wraps in late May.

After that, I plan to go BACK in time about 400 years, to when Alyss and Li left their home in the Sol System to colonize a new world on the far side of the galaxy. As one might expect, hijinks ensue. New subtitle yet to be determined, start date sometime in around the start of July. Stay tuned!

Strip 46

Panel 1
We’re back at the café. Guy and Fiorella are seated at a table, having lunch. Guy is looking very pleased with himself. Fiorella is stoic as usual.

Guy: This is it, Ms. Stellina. When we get back, we will be golden.

Fiorella: Hmmmm.

Panel 2
Close-up of Fiorella, about to take a bite of food. She has her mouth opened in a most sexy way.

Fiorella: You made an impressive show, Mr. Caillard. But the King’s responses were … non-committal.

Fiorella: I think we should wait until the next royal audience before we do any celebrating.

Panel 3
Pull back again, now Babbette the Elder is standing at the table, framed in between Guy and Fiorella. She’s wearing her hospitality smile, hands on her hips.

Babbette: Well, you can celebrate anyway, kiddos. King Reginald is making you his official guests.

Babbette (2): Party all ya want, shop till ya drop. The King is covering all your expenses from here on out.

Panel 4
Babbette the younger appears beside her grandmother. Her smile is obviously forced.

Babbette the Elder: My granddaughter here will be your tour guide and chauffer. Her fees are covered, too. So y’ don’t need to give her any more of those Continentals.
