One Dollar Sale Continues!

$1 Books Plus Shipping!

Hard to believe it, but Big Head Press published it's first novel, over 20 years ago. To commemorate our stubborn longevity, we continue to stubbornly offer each of our non serialized graphic novel stories for just one mere American dollar (plus shipping). Start your holiday shopping early and light up some body's mind with one or more of these titles.

Offer only available in the United States.

Kickstarter Success!

The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!

Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.

All of this should show up in June.

The Transcript For This Page

Strip 67

Panel 1
Bert is alone at the cut-off end of the Corridor, cut off from his companions by the emergency pressure door. His orientation makes clear that he’s been knocked about a bit, as well, but the lights are still on and the pressure is holding (well, mostly).

On one of the panels, an electronic display flashes:
PRESSURE BREACH DANGER
CLEAR SECTION IMMEDIATELY

Bert: Unnnnh.. What th’…

Bert (2): Oh, NO.

Panel 2
Reacting quickly, Bert propells himself quickly back along the Corridor towards the Carbon Operations block. Something in his breast pocket beeps at him.

Bert: Gotta get to the block…

SFX: B-DEEP-A-DEEP! B-DEEP-A-DEEP!

Panel 3
Bert carries his PDA/phone in his pocket. He holds it about 25 cm away from his face and looks at the 7x10cm holodisplay it projects just above itself. On it is the face of Fiorella.

PDA: Bert? Where are you? What’s going on?

Bert: I’m hauling ass back to Carbon Ops. What’s your situation?

PDA: Sealed off, blacked out, and leaky. No injuries.

Panel 4
Bert collides with Kent from Carbon Ops, who is barreling along from the opposite direction (they impact shoulder-to-breastbone rather than head-to-head).

Kent: Look out!

Bert: Sh-OOF!!

PDA: Bert?
