AGAMEMNON
These Greeks – Ajax, even my brother – they talk a good fight, but their idea of war is hack away at something until someone falls down, and talk a lot about pride. You, though, you work the angles.
(Odysseus gives him the eye, Agamemnon laughs)

AGAMEMNON
Oh, you’re braver than most when you need to be, and tough enough in a fight, but I think all things being equal you’d rather be a coward. Imbeciles like Achilles and Ajax, they fight for glory and honor. You fight to not die.
They pause at the entrance to Ajax’s tent. Agamemnon holds open the flap, motioning Odysseus to enter.
AGAMEMNON
(to Odysseus)
That’s why you’re more dependable.
