The… pillars…? Where are we?
ODYSSEUS
Approximately? Not in the known world. Still want to be captain?
Dannus looks nervously over his shoulder to see his own men growing nervous and uncertain. His nerve fails. He slashes Odysseus’ bonds. Odysseus gets to his feet as Dannus drops to his hands and knees before us.
DANNUS
Forgive us, captain. We were afraid.
ODYSSEUS
Were you?
(pounds Dannus into the ground, then faces his men)
Understandable.
They all cower back, trembling in terror, looking not at Odysseus but beyond him.
ODYSSEUS
What’s wrong now?

Odysseus turns, irritated …
