What Comes Next

The War is Over. We Won.

The war is over, but This Means War has a ways to go. Novo Paolo/Bubbleopolis is still in a nebula/stellar nursery, no one knows what happened to the planet Sharen (center of the Intergalactic Council), and the status of the now-surrendered Invaders is yet to be resolved. What will they do when they learn their homeworld is basically destroyed? Will Alyss and Li be re-united? How about Diana (the real one) and Otto?

These questions will be resolved in the next few weeks, before This Means War part 3 wraps in late May.

After that, I plan to go BACK in time about 400 years, to when Alyss and Li left their home in the Sol System to colonize a new world on the far side of the galaxy. As one might expect, hijinks ensue. New subtitle yet to be determined, start date sometime in around the start of July. Stay tuned!

The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Wide panel. Smyth is in the lobby of the hotel where he's staying. (Not everybody stays at the Water Bros. Boarding house). This is the “Hilliott.” The lobby should look fairly swanky, with (faux) marble counter tops and walls, one of those fake-waterfall things, overstuffed sofas, and “beautiful people” milling about.

Smyth, with his attaché case in hand, is at the concierge desk, speaking with the concierge. There should be a sign over the desk marked 'Concierge.' The concierge is handing Smyth a brochure.

Smyth: My good man, can you recommend a quality restaurant?

Concierge: There are several within easy walking distance, sir. They are listed in this guide.
Panel 2
Wide panel. On the street at the Hilliott Hotel entrance. Smyth, with case in his left hand and brochure in his right, glances to his left as he steps onto the sidewalk. We're in the downtown section, other businesses can be seen past the hotel entrance, a few pedestrians and vehicles.
Smyth: I wonder if the Tandoori here is worthwhile?
