Kickstarter Success!
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
All of this should show up in June.
The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
Smaller of three panels. Tobi is speaking to Ernie and Bert (we can also see Mac and maybe Nisa, do a line-of-sight angle or something to get everyone in a smaller space.
Tobi: Elements in the Pakistani Sector government put out a contract on Ali Abdur Khan, a wealthy Martian who was funding anti-government forces back on Terra.
Panel 2
Largest panel, the monitor displays a street scene of Nya Darra Adam Khel, a Pashtun colony on Mars. Show shops in the background. [The town is located in a crater under an airskin. It should look vaguely arabic, but with modern elements. Think of Moss Isley (the town where the cantina was located) in Star Wars.] In the middle ground left, Johnson is spraying a crowd of people in the foreground-right with .50 calibre machine gun fire. I don't know if Sandy has a particular weapon in mind here. [.50 calibre machine guns are usually tripod mounted, so we need Johnson on/in some sort of vehicle with something like following mounted on it:
It should be shown that the machine gun was previously hidden in some way, perhaps under a tarp.] In the crowd of victims should be one 40-ish and very well-dressed fellow – the intended victim – and a variety of others, men, women, older children who are caught in the sweep of fire.
Tobi: Johnson took the contract, but did a really sloppy cowboy hit.
Panel 3
Smallest of 3 panels. Could be an inset into Panel 2. Johnson, standing about 15 feet away, calmly fires directly at the viewer.
Tobi: Apparently he didn't have time to grab the camera, which is why we have this video.
