Kickstarter Success!
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
All of this should show up in June.
The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
Re-stablish the scene: Reggie is standing by his desk, his chair behind him (this is important), confronting an apparition of his younger self named 'Joe.' Joe is in the right part of the panel. Reggie is upset at what Joe has just said and is retorting strongly.
Reggie: Honest with myself?
Reggie: I don't see what that has to do with this mystery.
Reggie: Besides, I don't have anything to hide!
Panel 2
Medium shot of Joe, finger on his chin, looking upward to the left, bringing out a memory.
Joe: Really?
Joe: Okay, how about 'Uncle Reggie,' you know, the man you were supposedly named after?
Panel 3
Looking over Reggie's shoulder at Joe, who has stepped closer, getting into Reggie's face.
Reggie: Well, I ….
Joe: I wonder if anyone has a clue as to just how old you really are, who you really are and what awful things you have done.
Panel 4
Reggie has fallen back into the chair behind him, thunderstruck. Joe stands before him, fists on hips.
Reggie: I, I … that was a long time ago!
Joe: People died, Reggie.
Panel 5
Medium shot of Reggie, yelling at the apparition with an anguished expression, tears welling up in his eyes.
Reggie: I can't change the past!
Reggie: All I can do now, is try to 'pay it forward.'
Reggie: You know, I have saved lives too!
Panel 6
Reggie has turned around and put his head down on his arms on his desk. Joe is standing behind him with a blank expression.
Reggie: I'm trying as hard as I can, to be the best person I can and to make the world a better place!
Reggie: {sob!}
Panel 7
Medium shot of Joe, starting to fade away.
Joe: I have done all I can here, but it is not over, Reggie.
Joe: You and I will talk again, for I am also the 'Ghost of Christmas Future.'
