Strip 610 -- First Seen: 2011-01-07
Escape From Terra is updated with new pages every Monday through Friday.

QV on a short break

QUANTUM VIVE is taking a break for a few weeks, as we prepare for Part 2 of the Novo Palermo story, and also for a Kickstarter campaign for Part 1, which will start in September.

In the meantime, Not-Safe.Space will continue, as a murder mystery begins and the relationship between Eithne and Diana develops in unexpected directions.

Not-Safe.Space is a NSFW strip but more than half the pages are SFW so I've set those to *not* require a Patreon membership. Readers should be able to follow the story without seeing the NSFW pages. If I've done this right.

Kickstarter successful and closed

The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.

Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Thanks to all for supporting this Kickstarter!

The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
In a sort of multiple-exposure shot, Rhonda swiftly grabs Carlos' arm, spins him around, twists his arm behind his back.
Carlos: Wha-?

Panel 2
Now Rhonda has Carlos pinned in the floor, his arm still twisted behind his back. In the process, one of her breasts has popped out of her leotard. In the background, we see some of the (not her friends) staring at her.
Carlos: HUFF!

Panel 3
Rhonda stands, nonchalantly pushing her breast back in place. She looks over at her three friends, who stand there looking befuddled.
Rhonda: Great plan, Chang.
Rhonda: Let's get the hell out of here and see if we can come up with a better Plan B.

Panel 4
The four canaries, Rhonda in the lead, exit to the right. In the background, we see Ed at the bar Larry behind the bar, and possibly Carlos on the floor.
Ed: Doesn't that strike you as a bit odd, Larry?
Larry: Like maybe they were trying to provoke some sort of incident?

Panel 5
Three-shot – in the foreground, Larry and Ed on either side of the bar. Larry has picked up the Desert Eagle by the barrel end.
Ed: Yeah. What are we missing here?
Larry: Let me hold that cannon behind the bar until 'Carlos the Kid' here has calmed down.

Panel 6
Carlos has gotten up and is approaching Ed at the bar, with more an accusatory demeanor than a threatening one. If room permits show Larry looking back at both of them over his shoulder.
Carlos: Who the hell are you to take my gun?
Carlos: I left Terra to escape this sort of shit!
