What Comes Next

The War is Over. We Won.

The war is over, but This Means War has a ways to go. Novo Paolo/Bubbleopolis is still in a nebula/stellar nursery, no one knows what happened to the planet Sharen (center of the Intergalactic Council), and the status of the now-surrendered Invaders is yet to be resolved. What will they do when they learn their homeworld is basically destroyed? Will Alyss and Li be re-united? How about Diana (the real one) and Otto?

These questions will be resolved in the next few weeks, before This Means War part 3 wraps in late May.

After that, I plan to go BACK in time about 400 years, to when Alyss and Li left their home in the Sol System to colonize a new world on the far side of the galaxy. As one might expect, hijinks ensue. New subtitle yet to be determined, start date sometime in around the start of July. Stay tuned!

The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Smaller panel. Guy enters the foyer of the Court to find Bert waiting for him.

Bert: Today’s meeting will be in the board room. Come with me.

Panel 2
Wider panel. Guy and Bert enter a room with a boardroom style table. There is a pitcher of water and four glasses in its center. Reggie is standing at one end. He’s got his “Pinafore” jacket on but without the crown or other accouterments from the first audience.

Reggie: I’d like to keep this meeting as informal and friendly as possible. Please be seated.

Panel 3
Looking down the length of the table, Reggie is seated at the far end, Bert on the left and Guy on the right. Bert is reaching for the pitcher. Guy is a bit non-plussed by the informality of the situation.

Reggie: Drinks, anyone?

Bert: The water will do fine.

Guy: Er, yes.

Panel 4
Closer-in, a two-shot of Reggie and Guy. Reggie is smiling warmly as he speaks to Guy, who is almost in a state of shock.

Reggie: Let’s be Guy, Bert and Reginald, what do you say?

Guy: Ah … er, of course.
