Strip 984 -- First Seen: 2012-06-25
Escape From Terra is updated with new pages every Monday through Friday.
QV on a short break
QUANTUM VIVE is taking a break for a few weeks, as we prepare for Part 2 of the Novo Palermo story, and also for a Kickstarter campaign for Part 1, which will start in September.
In the meantime, Not-Safe.Space will continue, as a murder mystery begins and the relationship between Eithne and Diana develops in unexpected directions.
Not-Safe.Space is a NSFW strip but more than half the pages are SFW so I've set those to *not* require a Patreon membership. Readers should be able to follow the story without seeing the NSFW pages. If I've done this right.
Kickstarter successful and closed
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Thanks to all for supporting this Kickstarter!
The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
The Vesta Council has retreated to Marsha's living room to regroup and huddle.
Mascon 1: ... a public-relations disaster.
Marsha: We should call a town meeting, right away.
Marsha: We need to show the Locals we're doing the right thing and have everyone's best interests at heart.
Panel 2
Exterior to the newly-finished Odeum. A grand, wide doorway flanked by decorative cladding and poster displays. Waist-high hand-rails run through the doorway for ease-of-locomotion. Several people are going in, but Kasteel runs into Wang, in his security uniform, standing by. The men smile at one another. (Where we can see feet, everyone is skipping along on their toes, owing to the very low gravity, and grabbing handrails where available).
Wang: Hopefully no 'Chinese Fire Drill' today, Sv Kasteel.
Kasteel: Ha-ha! Hope you weren't offended, Sv Wang.
Panel 3
As Kasteel walks past Wang, Wang gives him a friendly pat on the back (we see them both from the front in this frame).
Wang: Not at all! I love your humor, even when I'm the butt of it.
Kasteel: Great to hear! Well, the place is filling up fast so I'd better move along.
Panel 4
Wang smiles and waves as Kasteel walks away. We can see Kasteel's back now and it has a large card sticking to it with the hand-written words 'Kick Me' on it.
Wang: Have a good time!
