QV on a short break

QUANTUM VIVE is taking a break for a few weeks, as we prepare for Part 2 of the Novo Palermo story, and also for a Kickstarter campaign for Part 1, which will start in September.

In the meantime, Not-Safe.Space will continue, as a murder mystery begins and the relationship between Eithne and Diana develops in unexpected directions.

Not-Safe.Space is a NSFW strip but more than half the pages are SFW so I've set those to *not* require a Patreon membership. Readers should be able to follow the story without seeing the NSFW pages. If I've done this right.

Kickstarter successful and closed

The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.

Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Panel 2
On the control deck of the Relentless, the crewman notes some readings on his console. Darling sits by looking bored. Captain Gondalia is quietly pleased.

Crewman: The 3 VIP craft have departed, and it looks like 5 of the newsie ships are preparing to leave.

Gondalia: They probably have no audience at this point.

Panel 3
Similar shot. Crewman is still looking at his monitor, Darling is almost dozing. Gondalia is moving towards the exit at the rear of the command deck.

Crewman: Scans are 71 percent completed. Coming round to the 'face' side..

Gondalia: I will be in the, er, head. Mister Darling, you have the conn.

External shot. We're looking at the upper half of the 'Head's' face, focus near its left eye. The Relentless is swinging into the frame.

Crewman (from the craft): Now scanning the left eye.

The control deck, the crewman and Darling. Darling still looks bored.

Crewman: Sir, there seems to be some anomaly here.

Darling: Anomaly?

Closer look at the left eye. We can see a recessed, cubical cavity inside, several meters across.

Crewman (OP): Some kind of recessed cavity, six meters on a side, and there's something in the back....

Crewman: … some sort of writing?

Suddenly Gondalia bursts urgently into the deck, holding the opened front of his trousers with one hand.

Gondalia: CUT THAT FEED NOW!!
