What Comes Next

The War is Over. We Won.

The war is over, but This Means War has a ways to go. Novo Paolo/Bubbleopolis is still in a nebula/stellar nursery, no one knows what happened to the planet Sharen (center of the Intergalactic Council), and the status of the now-surrendered Invaders is yet to be resolved. What will they do when they learn their homeworld is basically destroyed? Will Alyss and Li be re-united? How about Diana (the real one) and Otto?

These questions will be resolved in the next few weeks, before This Means War part 3 wraps in late May.

After that, I plan to go BACK in time about 400 years, to when Alyss and Li left their home in the Sol System to colonize a new world on the far side of the galaxy. As one might expect, hijinks ensue. New subtitle yet to be determined, start date sometime in around the start of July. Stay tuned!

The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Elevated shot of the mining assembly in operation – we can see rocks being ejected from the top of the Mass Driver. Bert is near the bore hole, monitoring the drilling, while Ernie is near the Mass Driver, making sure the dug-up regolith gets loaded and ejected properly.

Bert: According to the scans we still have a coupla-three meters to go.

Ernie: We've been at this for over 40 centimes. I'm bushed.

Panel 2
Ernie floats (via jet-pack) over to where Bert is standing.

Ernie: Let's knock off, get a good night's sleep, and get rich beyond our wildest dreams tomorrow.

Panel 3
The brothers jet-pack out over the rim of the crater they've been working in.
Bert: Suits me. But you know, my wildest dreams are very wild.

Panel 4
We see the brothers touching down near their shuttle landing site. Put the brothers in the background and the site in the foreground. We can tell it's the landing site because of the scorch-marks on the surface from their engine, and the four tie-down pitons in the ground, around the blast-mark, with their lines severed.
Bert: Son of a …
Ernie: … bitch.
