$1 Books Plus Shipping!

Hard to believe it, but Big Head Press published it's first novel, over 20 years ago. To commemorate our stubborn longevity, we continue to stubbornly offer each of our non serialized graphic novel stories for just one mere American dollar (plus shipping). Start your holiday shopping early and light up some body's mind with one or more of these titles.

Offer only available in the United States.

Kickstarter Success!

The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!

Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.

All of this should show up in June.

The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Large panel, the Novo Argo soars through a dramatic cloudscape, with towering cumulus-type forms, and sunbeams streaming down from a partly-cloudy upper-sky.
Caption: The next several days were spent in wonder, as Reggie and Babbette soared through the ever-changing Venusian cloudscape.
Caption: Without really planning to, the happy couple sailed toward the equator as they looked for life.
Panel 2
In the foreground, we see something that looks like a diffuse patch of soda-pop fizz, drifting through the air. In the background we see the silhouette of the yacht
Babbette (from the yacht): Look there! Are those the buoyant plants Dr. Harmon mentioned?
Reggie: Most likely.

Panel 3
Medium-full shot of Babbette and Reggie in the yacht's cockpit. Reggie is kicked back in the pilot's seat (hands not on wheel), while Babbette scans the clouds with some hi-tech binoculars
Babbette: Well, damn. Here's something you don't see every day.

Panel 4
Showing the view through Babbette's binocs. We see a large patch of floating fizz, and three or four creatures crawling around on the patch. The creatures have long, spindly legs like a spider, but with a very fine fish-shaped tail and something that looks like a deflated balloon on their backs.
Reggie (OP): Okay, Harmon didn't say anything about these – air spiders.
Babbette (OP): What do you think that doodad is on their backs?

Panel 5
2-Shot of Reggie and Babbette, now Reggie is looking through the Binocs.
Reggie: Probably flotation bladders. Right now, they're empty, making them heavier than air.
Reggie: That might make it easier for them to crawl around on the plants.

Panel 6
Same shot, pulled back a little. Reggie is handing the binocs back to Babbette.
Babbette: Hey, how 'bout we find Harmon and tell him about these air spiders?
Reggie: Yeah.
Reggie: Helmsman, set a course to the transponder on Dr. Harmon's craft.
Helmsman's voice (filtered): Aye-aye, Captain.
