What Comes Next

The War is Over. We Won.

The war is over, but This Means War has a ways to go. Novo Paolo/Bubbleopolis is still in a nebula/stellar nursery, no one knows what happened to the planet Sharen (center of the Intergalactic Council), and the status of the now-surrendered Invaders is yet to be resolved. What will they do when they learn their homeworld is basically destroyed? Will Alyss and Li be re-united? How about Diana (the real one) and Otto?

These questions will be resolved in the next few weeks, before This Means War part 3 wraps in late May.

After that, I plan to go BACK in time about 400 years, to when Alyss and Li left their home in the Sol System to colonize a new world on the far side of the galaxy. As one might expect, hijinks ensue. New subtitle yet to be determined, start date sometime in around the start of July. Stay tuned!

The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
View of The Little Prince from space: a small planetoid surrounded by a not-quite-transparent airskin five times its diameter.
Caption: The Little Prince, home of Tobikuma Kobayashi
Electronic voice: Call from Sv Robert Guzmán. Shall I put him through?
Tobi (from the planetoid): Yes, Claude, please connect him.
Panel 2
Establishing shot of Tobikuma 'Tobi' Kobayashi in his office, seated at a desk. The décor is ultra-modern, although the desk is covered with papers, small gadgets, other detritus, along with the usual keyboard and holoscreen. He's dressed in his usual casual clothes, Hawaiian print shirt and cotton trousers. If we can see his feet, they're wearing sandals. He's leaning back in his executive-style chair. His t-comm is in his occipital implant ('Ock') so it appears he's talking to the air.
Tobi: Tobi here. What may I do you for, Bert?
Bert (filtered): {chuckle} How would you like to mount a rescue mission?
Panel 3
Medium close-up of Tobi, grinning.
Tobi: Again. Like for real?
Tobi: I hope it is a beautiful damsel in distress.
Bert (filtered): Actually, it is a damsel in distress.
Panel 4
Same shot, but now Tobi looks stunned.
Bert (filtered): Though 'beautiful' might be a stretch, depending on your tastes.
Bert (filtered): She's a Neanderthal, Tobi.
