Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.

The rocket lifts off.

Narration: After a long three seconds...

Panel 2

The group and bulldozer in silhouette with a view of the sea and a speck in the distance.

Narration: They never saw it splash down, but their calculations estimated that it probably went at least twenty kilometers!

The kids huddled around a huge, melted hole in the dozer blade.
Narration: It wasn't until they went to take down the launch ramp they discovered what
happened in those three seconds before their rocket lifted off.

Narration: The super-hot exhaust had melted an eight-centimeter hole through the dozer blade.

The kids and Leon looking at the damage horrified. Leon raises a shakey hand.

Leon: Anyone opposed to us having a safety officer?

Narration: After that, Leon made sure nothing like that ever happened again.
