Babbette: I guess I shouldn't be surprised. The whole event had your flair for the dramatic.
Reggie: Are you making fun of me, woman?

Babbette sits up straight again so she can look Reggie in the eye. She also takes one of his hands in hers.
Babbette: Not at all, Reggie.
Babbette: I can't thank you enough for what you did for my granddaughter.

Babbette: You picked up on that, you dragged the details out of her and you gave her a clear path to expiate her guilt.
